Black Bean Burgers - by Marjorie W's friend :)

Black Bean Burgers (nothing is measured)

15 oz can black beans


green peppers (optional)

BBQ sauce

bread crumbs

Saute onions & peppers. Mash black beans in bowl. Add sauteed onions & peppers. Add BBQ sauce (about 1/2 cup). Mix together. Add enough bread crumbs to make the consistency of the mixture so you can make patties out of it (approx. 4 patties). Fry (in olive or canola oil) like you would a regular beef burger. When you serve this on a hamburger roll, it makes a complete protein. Serve with fries and veggies and you have a healthy vegetarian meal.
