Michael Pollan on Oprah

So, who watched it?  I actually watched while I was on the elliptical at the gym for the WHOLE HOUR, so I get double points!   I have read two of his books: In Defense of Food and The Omnivore's Dilemma.  The Oprah Show was the first time I have seen him live and I thought he was great!  A friend of mine said they saw him on the today Show, but I missed that.  There are a lot of Michael Pollan videos on youtube though, including the oprah show.  Here are the links if you  missed it:

Part 5

I think these segments just are of the interview with Michael Pollan.  If you have read his books, he didn't say much of anything you haven't read.  It was great to hear him live though and great to hear him plug his new movie.   I appreciate that he has a really well-balanced, conscious diet.  He isn't extreme, he isn't over-bearing, but I think he is convincing.

Alicia Silverstone was on too, although I didn't find her too interesting -- did you?  I actually did enjoy the spot they did on Chipotle, but maybe that is because I LOVE Chipotle and was very happy to see what a great company they are (which I kind of already knew).  Their Vegetarian Salads are the BEST.  With that big scoop of guacamole?  Yuuummmmmmmmmmmmm.

At the end of the show Oprah mentioned that the movie, Food Inc, which Michael helped produce will be on sale at Amazon.com for $9.99.  I bought it and it came today!  I think I am going to cozy up and watch it right now.  There are still come copies left at that price, so grab one if you are interested.

here is a link.

If any locals want to come over and watch it sometime, or borrow it, let me know!
