What I am Reading Right Now: Michael Pollan's Latest Article

The Food Movement, Rising, is Michael Pollan's latest article to let you what is happening with the food movement right now. Not familiar with Michael Pollan? He's the a journalist who laid out the problems with the current food culture in America in his books, The Omnivore's Dilemma, In Defense of Food, and Food Rules:An Eater's Manual. His skillful and concise writing are a pleasure to read, and the truths he reveals are startling. If you can about what you eat, your health, and the future of both; check his works out.
Just to lure you in here is a quote from the article :

"[T]he food movement’s strongest claim on public attention today is the fact that the American diet of highly processed food laced with added fats and sugars is responsible for the epidemic of chronic diseases that threatens to bankrupt the health care system. The Centers for Disease Control estimates that fully three quarters of US health care spending goes to treat chronic diseases, most of which are preventable and linked to diet: heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and at least a third of all cancers. "

Read it here.

Then come back and tell me what you thought. For me, I'm glad there are good people out there that make it easier to eat the way God intends us to do so.
