An exciting beginning

I am so very excited and honored that I get to help with this blog. Thank you, Likely. On Tuesdays I will be giving general health tips and a menu for two weeks at a time that will follow the Word of Wisdom. I will be doing health tips one week and two week menu the other week. I have been making menus in two week increments for my family for about 6 months now. It makes eating healthy easier, not to mention preparing meals easier (and shopping, too.)

My story...

One day I was reading through my scriptures and came upon D&C 89. I read it, and felt the spirit SO STRONG. At this time, I had been thinking a lot about what I could do to make my family healthier. I've always been very interested in health in all of it's forms. I was a personal trainer for a year, and loved it! I loved taking care of my body and the way it felt when it was well taken care of. I wanted so bad to feel better, not that I was feel sick, just wasn't feeling how I used to. I had been praying about it, and researching some, too. The day I read section 89, I knew that this was my answer. I needed to follow the Word of Wisdom more. I needed to read it often, and do my best to understand what Heavenly Father wanted me to do for my family. Since we have been following this counsel better, we HAVE had better health. I have more energy to take care of my two busy little children. I feel better and more emotionally stable, too.
